Author Guidelines

The International Journal of Commerce, Economics and Management Research (IJCEMR) welcome original, high-quality scholarly contributions that advance knowledge in the fields of humanities, social sciences, and development studies. Authors are requested to carefully follow the guidelines below before submitting manuscripts for consideration.

1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

The journal accepts the following categories of scholarly work:

• Original Research Articles

• Review Articles

• Conceptual and Theoretical Papers

• Case Studies

• Short Communications

• Book Reviews

• Policy Analysis Papers

Submitted manuscripts must present original and unpublished work that is not under review or consideration elsewhere.

2. Language and Writing Style

• Manuscripts may be submitted in either English or Hindi. The journal welcomes scholarly contributions in both languages to promote wider academic participation and inclusive knowledge dissemination. 

• Authors must ensure that manuscripts are written in clear, coherent, grammatically accurate, and academically appropriate language. 

• The writing style should maintain scholarly objectivity, clarity, professionalism, and intellectual rigor throughout the manuscript. 

• For English manuscripts, authors may use either British or American English; however, consistency in language style must be maintained throughout the paper. 

• Hindi manuscripts should use standard Unicode Hindi fonts and follow proper academic writing conventions with clear terminology and formatting. 

• Technical terms, quotations, transliterations, and references should be presented accurately and consistently. 

• Authors are encouraged to avoid biased, discriminatory, or non-academic language. 

• Manuscripts containing significant grammatical, linguistic, or formatting issues may be returned to the authors for language revision prior to the peer-review process. 

• Authors whose first language is not English or Hindi are strongly encouraged to seek professional proofreading or language editing assistance before submission to ensure clarity and readability.

3. Manuscript Formatting Requirements

Authors may prepare and submit manuscripts in either Microsoft Word format (.doc/.docx) or LaTeX format. Submissions are accepted in both English and Hindi languages.

General Formatting Guidelines

For Microsoft Word Submissions

• English Manuscripts: Authors should preferably use Times New Roman font with a font size of 12 pt.

• Hindi Manuscripts: Authors may use standard Hindi fonts such as Mangal (Unicode) or Kruti Dev 010 with a font size of 10 pt.

• Line Spacing: 1.5 line spacing should be maintained throughout the manuscript.

• Margins: All pages should have 1-inch margins on all sides.

• Text Alignment: The main text should be fully justified.

• Page Numbering: Page numbers should appear at the bottom center or bottom right of each page.

• Headings and Subheadings: Authors should maintain a clear and consistent hierarchy of headings throughout the manuscript.

• Tables and Figures: All tables, charts, figures, and illustrations must be clearly numbered, properly captioned, and cited within the text.

For LaTeX Submissions

• Authors may submit manuscripts prepared using LaTeX along with the compiled PDF file. 

• All necessary source files, bibliography files, figures, and custom packages must be included during submission. 

• Authors are encouraged to use standard academic LaTeX templates and packages for consistency and professional presentation. 

Additional Formatting Instructions

• The manuscript title should be concise, informative, and clearly reflect the content of the study. 

• Headings and subheadings should follow a consistent hierarchy and formatting style. 

• All tables, figures, charts, and illustrations must be properly numbered and captioned. 

• References and citations must follow the journal’s prescribed referencing style. 

• Authors should ensure that manuscripts are free from formatting inconsistencies, grammatical errors, and typographical mistakes before submission.

Title Page

The title page should include:

• Full title of the manuscript

• Name(s) of author(s)

• Institutional affiliation(s)

• ORCID ID(s) (if available)

• Corresponding author contact details

Abstract and Keywords

Abstract

• The abstract should clearly summarize the purpose, methodology, findings, and significance of the study.

• Length: Approximately 150–250 words.

• Avoid citations and undefined abbreviations in the abstract.

Keywords

• Provide 4–8 relevant keywords.

• Keywords should reflect the main themes of the manuscript.

Citation and Referencing Style

• Authors must follow the citation and referencing style prescribed by the journal.

• IJCEMR follows the APA (7th Edition) referencing style unless otherwise specified.

• All references cited within the text must appear in the reference list, and all references listed must be cited in the manuscript.

• Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and authenticity of all citations and references.

• References should preferably include DOI numbers or accessible URLs where available.

• Authors are encouraged to use recent, relevant, and scholarly sources to support their research.

Authors must adhere to internationally accepted publication ethics standards.

Originality and Plagiarism

• Submitted manuscripts must be original work.

• Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication are strictly prohibited.

• Manuscripts may be screened using plagiarism detection software.

Authorship

• All listed authors must have made significant scholarly contributions to the research.

• Any changes in authorship after submission require editorial approval.

Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that may influence the research.

Human and Animal Subjects

Where applicable, authors must confirm that research involving human participants or animals complied with relevant ethical standards and institutional guidelines.
